Alignment score: EnneaFox glossary definition
Short answer
An alignment score is EnneaFox's descriptive 0 to 100 number for each of the nine types, showing how strongly your answers endorsed that type's statements. A value of 50 means your answers averaged out to neutral; higher means more agreement. It is not a probability, not a norm, and not a comparison with other people. It appears in the full report.
A summary of your own answers
Every EnneaFox type has six rated statements. Each answer is converted to a value from minus two ("Strongly disagree") to plus two ("Strongly agree"), with one reverse-worded statement per type flipped. The values are averaged per type, and in close cases a small adjustment from the either-or questions is added. The alignment score simply places that average on a 0 to 100 scale, so it is easier to read than a decimal between minus two and plus two.

Why EnneaFox uses it
How to read it
- Look at the gap between your top two or three types, not just the top number.
- A high score for several types can mean you agreed with many statements in general, which the report flags.
- A score below 50 means you mostly disagreed with that type's statements.
- Two people with the same score for a type did not necessarily answer the same way.
An example
Someone finishes with Type 9 at 78, Type 6 at 74 and Type 5 at 61. The report labels the result close and names 9 and 6 as contenders. The numbers do not say she is "78 percent Nine." They say she endorsed the Nine statements and the Six statements about equally strongly, and the Five statements less so, which is a reason to read the 6 vs 9 comparison carefully.

Frequently asked questions
Is an alignment of 80 the same as 80 percent?
No. The score is a rescaled average of your answers, not a percentage of anything. It does not mean you are 80 percent of a type.
Does a higher alignment mean I am more of that type than someone else?
No. Alignment only describes your own answers. It is not compared with other people and cannot rank people.
Why do several of my types have high alignment?
Agreeing with many statements across types is common, and some types share themes. The report notes when a broad agreement pattern makes results harder to read.
Can I see my alignment scores without paying?
The assessment is free to take and shows your center and clarity label. Alignment for all nine types is part of the optional full report.
